Lease lease back is a project delivery mechanism being utilized by schools as an alternative to the low bidder selection process. In his article titled “Lease Leaseback Opens New Avenues for Schools” Jeff Quackenbush, staff reporter for the North Bay Business Journal, writes “Advocates of that contractual arrangement say it allows school district project representatives to collaborate more closely with architects and general contractors earlier in the project to find solutions that lower costs and speed construction, encourage more use of local contractors and reward companies with good reputations.” To read the complete article click here- NBBJ
